Octopus Money, the money advice brand for everyone, has today announced a new partnership with leading employee benefits platform provider Benifex. The collaboration will give more employers the ability to offer Octopus Money’s personalised financial wellbeing services to their teams, empowering them to achieve greater financial confidence and security.

In the wake of ongoing cost-of-living challenges and persistently low retirement savings levels, employers are increasingly recognising the need to support their teams’ financial wellbeing. 90% of Brits are unable to access help with their money, demonstrating the need for solutions.

Financial wellbeing as a workplace priority

The news comes at a crucial moment for HR leaders, as financial stress continues to affect employee wellbeing, engagement, and productivity. 72% of employees don’t think their company cares about their life goals such as buying a house, and new policy changes such as developments to stamp duty and child benefit allowances have left many families facing new financial choices.

Octopus Money offers a service that combines technology with an in-person coach to deliver accessible, one-on-one financial coaching that empowers employees to tackle key life milestones—including buying their first home, planning for retirement, and saving for their children’s future.

Anasuya Iyer, Chief Commercial Officer at Octopus Money, commented: “Financial wellbeing is no longer just a nice-to-have—it’s essential to supporting employees in today’s economic climate. By partnering with Benifex, we’re able to extend our reach and provide personalised money advice to even more people. Together, we’re helping employers take a proactive approach to financial wellbeing, creating happier, healthier, and more engaged teams.”

Octopus Money has already supported over 200,000 employees through its workplace offerings, partnering with hundreds of employers across the UK. This collaboration marks another milestone in its mission to making high-quality financial advice available to everyone—not just the 9% who traditionally have access to advisers.

Gethin Nadin, Chief Innovation Officer at Benifex, added: “When employers are able to support their people to build bigger savings pots, the impact can reach far beyond individual wellbeing improvements. By integrating Octopus Money into our platform, we’re giving businesses an impactful way to help their employees feel more in control of their finances.”

Benifex has long been a trusted partner for medium-sized enterprises, making it the ideal collaborator for Octopus Money, which has a track record of supporting organisations across diverse sectors – from law firms and financial services to recruitment companies including household names such as MoneySuperMarket, Experian, and Browne Jacobson.
